Progress from this weeks SDDT working week has seen 20 110 receive attention to all of the usual Class 20 rust traps in preparation for entry into the paint shop today.  Two recent photos showing the work undertaken todate  from Pete Burrow:

After disconnecting and preparation work, the two settling tanks and radiator frames were lifted out of 25 191 on Tuesday 30th August.  The offending items would make perfect props for the remake of the Titanic at the SDR. Three recent photos showing the work undertaken from Pete Burrow:

D7029’s radiators were successfully lifted out of the loco on the 28/08/11.  Four photos of the lift from Jeff Atkins:

August 29th 2011 45108 underwent a fairly successful proving run at the MRB after the last trains had run for the day.  There are a couple of little things that showed up during the test run. These will be addressed before the machine is re-introduced to service.
