25191, 25262 and 20118
South Devon Diesel Traction have purchased 25191 from HNRC.  The loco was tripped down to Pickering behind D5061 on Tuesday 12th April and then loaded and moved by Heanor Haulage from the North Yorkshire Moors Railway to its new home on the South Devon Railway on Wednesday 13th April and unloaded onto SDR metals on Thursday 14th April.  The newly arrived ‘Rat’ is now stabled at the North end of the site complex at Buckfastleigh and restoration to full work order will start shortly once the current projects are finished.

20118 left SDDT’s ownership and the SDR on Thursday 14th April.  After a weekend layover at Heanor’s Yard 20118 was due to be delivered to the North Norfolk Railway today.  Crew training runs are planned prior to the loco being used as required on the NNR.

D7612 was also returned to Buckfastleigh on Thursday 14th April after a very enjoyable 10 month visit to the GWR, the loco crossing former shedmate 20118 on Haldon Hill at 7mph!  After unloading the loco was put straight into use shunting and is out in action on passenger and freight workings this Bank Holiday Easter weekend at a Cambrian Gala event.

D444
Work continues on preparing D444 for repainting into BR Blue at Cardiff Canton.  At present the plan is to complete preparation work this week.  The loco will then await completion of the last Class 150 unit for FGW, due in on May 4th, before entering the paint booth.  Hopefully painting will commence on May 17th.
