Weekend workings 26th & 27th March

Churnet Valley

The Churnet Valley diesel gala this weekend has a few notable items planned that are worth reporting:-

Rare class 04 (D2334) haulage.

Visiting Class 33, 33021, and visiting Class 37, 37109, scheduled to tackle the Cauldon Lowe extension.

Class 104 DMU first public trips to Cauldon Lowe, the views will be exceptional.

Plus the weather forecast looks reasonable.

Bo’ness & Kinneil

As previously reported, 37906 will be making a rare appearance on Sunday 27th March, the final workings in Scotland as it is due to move south the following week.

Times are 14.00, 15.00 & 16.00 departing Bo’ness. 

Tickets priced at £10 for a rover are available on the train and catering is also available on board. Contributions towards the appearance of 37906 are also welcome from photographers who are not travelling on the train to cover costs of staging the event, which is a “private charter”.
